ECS, Elitegroup Computer Systems (TSE: 2331), has pioneered in the design and manufacture of computer motherboards since 1987. Headquartered in Taiwan, ECS has operations in North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim and was the first motherboard manufacturer in Taiwan to be listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1994. ECS also has ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 14001 certified manufacturing facilities in China which are capable of producing over 2.5 million motherboards every month.

Today the motherboard manufacturer has developed and expanded its business to also design and manufacture notebook computers for distributors worldwide and is capable of producing 200,000 units monthly. To further extend its quality products and services, ECS plans to open additional branch offices in various locations around the world. Branch offices in Brazil and Russia should begin operating by the end of 2005. Other locations will soon follow as new opportunities emerge.

With 18 years of experience in designing and manufacturing the building blocks of many of todays personal computer systems, ECS is expected to remain as one of the major contributors in the IT industry.
