MoneyQuest picks Time Navigator to protect its critical data. Free seminars to help understand the technology planned for March.
STOCKLEY PARK, UK - 18th JANUARY, 2007 – Atempo, the leader in data protection and storage security for trusted information lifecycle management (ILM), today announced a significant new customer win in conjunction with its partner, Aspen Solutions. The new win is part of an ongoing drive to help organisations across Scotland understand the benefits of Continuous Data Protection (CDP) and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).
Aspen Solution clients Glasgow based MoneyQuest have successfully deployed Atempo Time Navigator solution and several more trials are currently underway with other organisations across the region.
“There are a number of very large organisations and financial institutions that have expressed a considerable interest in CDP” comments Andy Stewart, Technical Services Manager for Aspen Solutions Ltd, “and we have a number of seminars planned for the end of March that will help explain the technology and how it fits into the wider scheme of information lifecycle management.”
Aspen Solutions Ltd is based in Cumbernauld near Glasgow has been an Atempo partner since early 2006 and offers an integrated service from an initial consultation on the client’s needs right through to installation of a complete IT infrastructure, appropriate to the business.
“CDP helps you recover from data corruption caused by viruses, software errors and user errors by giving you the ability to rewind your data back in time to a point before the corruption happened,” comments Stewart, “but as more organisations start to look at maintaining compliance to regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and new EU laws – the ability to backup all data irrespective of where it resides is becoming a major requirement.”
Aspen will be holding a series of free seminars covering both the technology and benefits of the CDP and ILM technology at its offices throughout March. The seminars are open to organisations of all sizes and we feature both expert advice and practical demonstrations. The seminars will cover the flagship Time Navigator family of high performance backup and recovery solutions as well as Atempo’s LiveBackup continuous data protection for distributed laptop and desktop PCs.
“We value our partnership with Atempo and the strength of its product set which provides a complete end to end solution across the ILM space but without the restrictions often placed by hardware based data backup solutions. This open platform approach allows us to target a much wider range of prospective clients.” Stewart concludes.
