14th March 2007 ----- Arantech announced today that it has been named a finalist in the TeleManagement Forum Excellence Awards. The TM Forum awards are given to member companies that are being recognized for distinguished contribution and innovation in the OSS and BSS industry. Winners will be announced in a formal awards dinner ceremony on May 21, 2007 at the TeleManagement World event in Nice, France.

“We congratulate Arantech on their finalist status for the TM Forum Excellence Awards. This year’s competition was highly competitive, and as a finalist, they have stood out from their peers in outstanding contribution to Telecom OSS and BSS,” said Martin Creaner, President and Chief Technical Officer of the TeleManagement Forum.

Arantech was named in both the Best New OSS/BSS product and Most Innovative Supplier categories. The Best New OSS/BSS Product award recognizes TM Forum member companies who have made outstanding contributions in the area of products developed by OSS or BSS related solution providers that help Service Providers to reduce operating costs, maintain a high standard of service quality, and increase profitability in the proliferation and support of new services.

The Most Innovative Supplier award is open to any Supplier or System Integrator company who has demonstrated exceptional thought leadership and innovation in the use of technology.

Arantech’s nominations reinforce the message which the TeleManagement Forum has recently begun evangelising, that for service providers to achieve continuing success, customer focus is crucial. Service providers must be able to fully understand the customer experience, and also manage this experience.

Commenting on the nominations, Arantech CEO Brendan McDonagh said, “Obviously we’re very happy to have been nominated in two different categories. We’re very proud of our achievements over the past two years in driving a customer-centric agenda within OSS and BSS, and we couldn’t have asked for a more appropriate recognition of this. I’m also delighted that this recognition proves that indigenous Irish technology companies can compete for these awards with multinational household names”.

Other finalists in the awards include IBM, Hewlett-Packard, British Telecom and Vodafone.
