MobileCom provides Subscribers with BBC TV Content
Javna Puts Visual Services in the Service of Arab Telecom Companies...
Javna, the leading Arab firm in the field of software solutions, has put its wireless services, Mobile TV Streaming in particular, at the disposal of MobileCom, a key mobile telephony provider in Jordan.
MobileCom will use this state-of-the-art technology to add the BBC to the list of TV channels it offers to subscribers.
The step, said Javna's CEO Mansour Mansour, comes as part of the company's vision and strategy aimed at developing the wireless services offered by telecom companies to their subscribers.
Commenting on the series of successes Javna has achieved in the provision of TV content via cellular phones, Mansour said, "The company has succeeded in employing its media visual services in the benefit of several satellite channels, starting with Al Jazeera news channel to CNBC Arabia and most recently the Britain's BBC.
"In addition, Javna has in the past few months provided services to several Arab and foreign telecom companies."
Mansour attributed the success to the high readiness of its Mobile TV Streaming platform and its outstanding ability to access all telecom networks in the region. "Added to that is the comprehensiveness of Javna's software solutions and technical services that start from receiving the channel's signals via satellites to re-streaming them via our specialized gateway."
Mobile TV Streaming is the latest wireless service that appeared for the first time in Korea and Japan two years ago.
