AppGate At Infosec: Appgate Showcases Secure Access Solutions And Looks To Double Reseller Network In 2007

Published 24th April 2007

24 April, 2007 – At Infosecurity Europe 2007 , AppGate will be showcasing its leading secure access solutions, and is looking to increase its UK reseller network by 100% during 2007, with the launch of a new range of products and applications.

With increasing demand within the marketplace for secure, flexible and mobile network access, AppGate’s solutions will play a key role in meeting evolving business needs and the demand for more flexible, borderless working, from any location and from any device.

AppGate is investing heavily in its UK partner network, with a number of channel initiatives, including marketing development, consultancy support and reseller incentives, and will help target key areas of growth for AppGate, including, local government, banking and finance.

AppGate will be demonstrating some of the key security, mobility and access control features of the AppGate solution, which provide secure remote access from any device such as laptops, smartphones, PDAs and home PCs, and which have been designed to offer simplified, centrally-managed administration and control for IT managers.

AppGate Security Server - Makes Securing Internal networks Easier
AppGate will be showcasing its next-generation Security Servers, which have the ability to connect up to twelve different networks, making it easy to segment the internal network, and to control all traffic from users to application servers. This reduces the need for internal firewalls and provides enhanced functionality and granular control.

The AppGate concept makes it easy to administer complex security requirements, and enables system administrators to manage corporate policies and compliance from one central point. Security Servers can be clustered to support virtually an unlimited number of users and applications.

Enhanced Mobile Security with AppGate
AppGate’s latest mobile access solutions enable users of mobile devices such as smart phones to securely access all resources inside an enterprise’s internal network, with the same level of functionality and security as a PC.

Secure mobile access and communication makes it possible to connect to applications such as SAP, Citrix and other mobile applications in a fully secure way without the need for application modifications or middleware.

With Network Access Control, Client Command and automatic log-in for SMS-OTP services, the AppGate solution supports Intranet access, secure file download and instant messaging and the ability to control Internet surfing by steering all web traffic from the mobile phone through the AppGate Server.

Jericho Forum Spring conference
AppGate’s CTO Tomas Olovsson has been invited to give a presentation at this year’s Jericho Forum Spring Conference, which will examine the issue of offering dynamic controlled access to authorized people regardless of their location

As the concept of deperimeterised working gains increasing acceptance in the IT sector, Tomas will outline how companies should best approach network security, and how a more granular-based approach will enable organisations to effectively meet current and future business needs.
