NACCO Materials Handling Group Partners With Intermec To Sell Rugged, Reliable Lift Truck Technology

EVERETT, Wash., August 27, 2007 – Intermec (NYSE:IN) has entered into an aftermarket reselling agreement with NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. (NMHG) to provide vehicle mount computers, handheld bar code scanners and RFID (radio frequency identification) technology equipment for NMHG’s Hyster and Yale brand lift trucks...

ADC and RFID enabled forklifts are now available for order directly from Hyster or Yale dealers with Intermec equipment installed, giving customers the benefit of improved asset utilization and performance, and the convenience of having a single point of contact for service and support.

NMHG recognizes that the forklift is becoming an information portal that can deliver efficiencies to customers well beyond the standard features of the truck. The Intermec relationship enables our dealers and National Account teams to provide a higher value to customers.” said Jonathan Dawley, Manager of Business Development. It is estimated that approximately 70 percent of warehouse forklifts in North America have mobile computing or data collection equipment installed. “The opportunity to synergize the forklift and the customer demand for data via mobile computing is undeniable. Hyster and Yale are also authorized to resell Intermec Medallion service contracts, giving customers dependable, consistent service for their technology equipment.
