Manchester, 7th September 2007: Maxatec announces new partnership with Blackroc to distribute its Extech and Cognitive printer range in the UK.
Blackroc is one of the leading providers of products and services in the rapidly growing field of AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture), a group of technologies which includes mobile and hand held computing and automatic identification technologies.
Andrea Percival, Director of Maxatec said: “This new relationship with Blackroc is extremely promising for Extech, Cognitive and Maxatec. As Master Distributor in EMEA for our two key suppliers, we are delighted to have this new partnership with a company having such a strong presence in the mobile and labeling arenas. We are looking forward to working closely with Blackroc and building the Extech and Cognitive brands in the UK market.
Blackroc is particularly keen on handling the Extech range because it fills the gap in its current product portfolio.
Sally Jephcott is Head of Sales and Marketing for Blackroc, said: “Our partnership with Maxatec further strengthens our stable of key vendor relationships which we have established with the most prominent players in the industry. In addition, Maxatec's product ranges from Extech and Cognitive complement our technology solutions and applications, as well as giving us an excellent opportunity to expand our offering within the mobile computing sector.”
The Extech Andes 3 range offers enhanced “Generation 4” portable printers. They are engineered to withstand the most punishing portable applications and adverse weather conditions and drops to concrete without diminished performance. The Andes 3 has a compact, lightweight design and is made of an impact-modified polycarbonate blend material. The printers produce high speed, high resolution direct thermal receipts and invoices, significantly reducing print time per receipt. Other benefits to the range include, a new extra-capacity rechargeable lithium ion battery enables more receipt prints per charge and can be easily charged in the printer. The fast charge circuit with an auto switch to AC power is included on the mother board, not in the printer, making replacement batteries much more affordable.
The Andes 3 is designed to work with all portable terminals, rugged notebooks and tablet PCs in a variety of mobile computing applications including Route Accounting, DSD and Field Service.
The Cognitive range, in addition, offers high performance thermal label printers, bridging the gap between mid-range & desktop printers. With 6 or 8 inch per second print speeds and fast "first label print" time, the C Series printers provide big-box productivity at desktop prices.
Maxatec has quickly established itself as a Leading Distributor of high quality and reliable hardware and prides itself in its ability to deliver exceptional service levels and flexible product options to its extensive customer base.
