Complex Centralised System Means More Errors In Security Network Warns Innominate

The Jericho Forum has highlighted the need for network-security experts to address the shortcomings of existing security systems. The forum, made up of CSOs from some of the largest international corporations, predicts a day when it will be unnecessary to build network perimeter defences with firewalls and companies have to look for alternative security measures when installing new equipment. Industrial security specialist, Innominate recommends that companies look at their industrial network as well as their office network when addressing this.

“The threat from hackers and viruses is a very real danger for any organisation with offices or manufacturing plants,” said Dr. Lutz Jaenicke, CTO, Innominate Security Technologies AG. “Organisations should be warned against combining more complex centralised applications. Although this method results in a more manageable work environment, experience has shown that it can lead to a higher error rate. Reliability is key – especially in the manufacturing plant as the result of infiltration could be untold damage to the profit and brand of the company. By implementing industrial security measures such as Innominate’s mGuard products, organisations can secure their networks and future-proof their systems.”
