Ascribe And Microsoft To Sponsor Healthcare IT Conference

Conference to focus on using IT systems to improve Patient care & safety...

18 October 2007 - Ascribe plc (AIM:ASP), the health IT Group, today announced that together with Microsoft, it had signed a sponsorship agreement to support a healthcare conference to be held in London on November 6th. The conference, “Knowledge-driven Health Care Solutions: Improving Patient Outcomes and Service Delivery” is being organised by Neil Stewart Associates and will be held at the Royal College of Physicians.

The conference will feature eminent Health care specialists including:

The main purpose of the conference is to Showcase new IT opportunities and look at how IT is impacting the personalisation of care and how it is capable of improving the delivery of services across the entire NHS. As a part of this analysis, the conference will also examine and debate the benefits of Electronic Healthcare Records and report on how they can best ensure that all parties involved in a patient's management have access to accurate data to inform their decision making and improve patient care.

Another key aspect of this conference will be gaining a better understanding of the impact that IT solutions can have on patient safety and how systems can help NHS managers and frontline staff to manage risk. The Conference will also discuss the current National IT Programme and look at ways of encouraging local innovations to drive forward the modernisation of the NHS.
