Intermec is the first rugged device manufacturer with plans to support Mobile Device Manager. IT departments can easily distribute software and manage device inventory while providing users with access to business applications and other data on the corporate network, helping increase productivity on both audience fronts.

“Accessing information in the corporate network with Windows Mobile equates to improved productivity for those on the go. By supporting System Center Mobile Device Manager, Intermec’s CN3 and CN3e will bring security-enhanced access to a wealth of information, helping people respond to a customer inquiry or to check inventory levels,” said Pieter Knook, senior vice president, Mobile Communication Business at Microsoft Corp. “Intermec and Microsoft share a common goal to provide mobile solutions that help people get their job done- no matter where they are.”

Designed to meet the needs of workers performing mission-critical tasks in transportation, logistics and field service, the CN3 and CN3e mobile computers deliver a powerful combination of communications technologies in a compact, rugged package. Intermec is both a Microsoft Direct OEM and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and has worked closely with Microsoft to ensure the CN3 and CN3e will work well with Mobile Device Manager.
