TallyGenicom Printers Utilised To Gain Insight To Operations...
TallyGenicom, a leading provider of focussed business printers, today announced that Chichester District Council will be utilising its T6215 line matrix printers, to meet the rigorous demands of the council’s revenue department. The printers will respond to a need to produce business critical reports and gain an insight into the council’s daily, weekly and monthly operations.
The revenue department prints out vast quantities of critical reports, so expects high levels of efficiency from its printers. Although previously using printers from Xerox, the council felt it needed to replace them in order to enhance the overall performance and efficiency of the department. A key requirement for the printers was the ability to process large reports and offer a continuous paper feed. As the revenue department prints out millions of pages per year, the printers had to be strong and reliable enough to cope with heavy workloads.
The council considered and tested solutions from two vendors, Xerox and TallyGenicom, to see which range could meet its requirements. “We compared the two printers on price and performance, and Xerox fell at the first hurdle,” says Chichester District Council’s, Unix and Network Systems Administrator, Ray Witham. “The price of two T6215 printers was significantly less than just one Xerox printer. We now have two extremely reliable printers and we can use one as a back-up in case of heightened workloads.”
Part of the Enterprise product family the T6215 is TallyGenicom's most popular high-speed line printer and provides businesses with a true durable workhorse solution with low running costs. The 1500 lines per minute print speeds effectively improve throughput of business critical documents. It features TallyGenicom’s patented 'Stay Black' ribbon, to assure consistent output quality.
“It is important for public sector, to utilise cost effective solutions to meet the demands of its business critical applications, as Chichester District Council has,” says TallyGenicom’s Product Marketing Manager, Richard Bright. “The T6215 printers are true workhorses, capable of meeting the most rigorous demands, set by the council.”
Meeting the rigorous demands of the council, the T6215 printers churn out 12,000 sheets of mission critical information for it each week, enables the council to gain a better insight into its operations.
