Mindjet underlines its position as supplier of business productivity software...
London - November 29, 2007 – Mindjet Corporation, the global leader of software for visualising and using information, has appointed Uwe Richter as Vice President EMEA, effective from November 1, 2007. Having previously established successful sales strategies for strategical software vendors such as Cognos and Infor Global Solutions in the German-speaking and European markets, Richter is set to realise Mindjet’s ambitious expansion plans in Europe.
At the beginning of November 2007, Mindjet was recognised as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States in the field of productivity solutions for teams. Richter’s aim is to develop Mindjet in Europe from a single user creativity software vendor to a leading supplier of productivity-enhancing solutions for enterprises of all sizes. The strategy of the European sales and marketing organisation will focus on operations in Germany, the UK, France, Switzerland and Sweden.
Richter comments, “I am thrilled to be able to bring my experience, motivation and energy to Mindjet. The intuitive nature of MindManager and the envisaged product strategy has really inspired me since I first heard about Mindjet and started to work with the software. Mindjet has developed in a phenomenal way and is now ready for the next big challenge – the market entry into business productivity software alongside becoming a leading vendor of information and knowledge management software. I will use my experience and contacts to leverage Mindjet’s software solutions to become an essential part of the day-to-day planning and collaborative processes of teams”.
Richter brings 19 years of experience in sales and management at leading Business Intelligence and Performance Management software companies to his new position. Richter studied electrical engineering and started his career in presales at Positronika in Essen/Germany. In 1989 he joined Cognos GmbH as sales engineer where he was promoted to Area VP and was responsible for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe with 180 employees from 2002 to 2006.
Before he joined Mindjet, Richter managed the EMEA Business Unit at Infor Global Solutions with the responsibility for 250 employees.
Scott Raskin, CEO of Mindjet Corporation said, “Uwe has not only learned the sales business at well-known companies from scratch, but he planned and executed strategic market entries and proactively managed the integration and rightsizing of business units. We are delighted to welcome him to our team.”
“Mindjet positions itself as thought leader in the field of information efficiency and productivity in handling and using information. This is explicitly demonstrated through the new Mindjet Study and Productivity Self-Assessment Calculator http://www.mindjet.com/uk/savetime/ which has shown a surprisingly underestimated time saving potential of our knowledge workers in Europe – of which these are over 150 Million,” Richter continued.
