Data Encryption Systems signs partnership deal with Northgate to supply DESlock+ to the public sector...
Taunton, UK— 18th December, 2007— Data Encryption Systems Limited (DES), the UK-based leader in software copyright protection, data encryption, secure messaging and data storage solutions, has announced that it has signed a new partnership deal with Northgate to sell its flagship product, DESlock+. The deal was finalised in December.
Northgate is a market leader in providing specialist software, outsourcing and information technology (IT) services to the human resources, local government, education and public safety markets. This deal will make DESlock+ the sole encryption product Northgate supplies as part of its offering to customers in the public sectors.
David Tomlinson, Managing Director for DES, envisages great promise with the deal: “We have signed an agreement with Northgate Information Solutions which sees them selling DESlock+ into Government as part of a software-as-a-service, managed-security offering. We have already worked with Northgate on previous projects and it is great news that we have been able to continue this relationship, which we have been building for over 2 years. We are beginning to observe a real wave of interest in DESlock+ from the public sector as data security grows in significance - with this, on top of the Dutch Education Board deal, it is clear that encryption technology is becoming increasingly popular.”
Peter Banahan, Partner Manager at Northgate Information Solutions, said: "The need for data encryption within all levels of Government has never been as well understood as it is today. DESlock+ is the standard encryption tool for all laptops within Northgate Information Solutions and we have been impressed with the product and the excellent support from DES. As a satisfied user ourselves, we look forward to promoting our DESlock+ managed data security service in a professional capacity."
