London, 11 August 2005 – Vonage, the broadband telephone company, today announced a new addition to its product range: the PAP2 broadband telephone adapter from Linksys. As the next generation of adapter, the PAP2 is smaller and sleeker than previous models and simply plugs into your existing router. The device, which enables you to make calls over the Internet from your existing phone handset in seconds, is quick and easy to install and small enough to carry anywhere – making the fixed line truly portable.

Vonage’s broadband telephone service works using a standard touch-tone telephone handset instead of a headset plugged into a PC. For £9.99 per month*, customers receive unlimited UK & Ireland local and national calls and Vonage-to-Vonage calls completely free of charge as well as simplified, low mobile and international rates. In addition, consumers benefit from a number of advanced telephony features such as call waiting, 3-way calling, call forwarding, voicemail, etc., all of which can be managed online.
