Borland Software Corporation (NASDAQ NM: BORL, www.borland.com), the global leader for Software Delivery Optimisation, has announced that TNT Logistics North America has standardised development on Borland's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions. Borland's integrated solutions for requirement, configuration and change management, along with training and consulting services provided by Orasi Global Services, have enabled the global logistics provider to transform its application delivery lifecycle into a managed business process, increasing development productivity while providing a reduction in requirements-related rework.

Borland's ALM solutions, along with consulting and training service from Orasi Global Services, have enabled TNT Logistics to gain more visibility, control, and efficiency across its software development lifecycle. Systems analysts use Borland CaliberRM to electronically capture and manage a wide variety of requirements gathered from internal customers around the world. These requirements are automatically fed into the Borland StarTeam configuration management solution to enable organised, automated change management, defect tracking, file versioning and task management.

Borland's ALM solutions are designed to give TNT Logistics centralised visibility and control over all project assets so development stays on schedule and within scope. TNT can now trace business, technical, functional and test requirements all the way through the lifecycle, minimising the number of misinterpreted requirements and eliminating costly rework late in the design cycle. In the coming months, TNT Logistics' application team will begin to use Borland Together UML modelling technology to link business process and application modelling and visualisation to the requirements and change management processes currently in place.
