UK, 16th March 2006: Voice and data business consultant Azzurri Communications will demonstrate how new mobile technology from Avaya and Nokia enables mobile workers to transform their mobile phones into fully featured virtual office phones, at the VoIP for Business exhibition at Olympia, London, stand 16, on 22nd-23rd March 2006.

Avaya Platinum Partner Azzurri will demonstrate how mobile workers can easily use essential office phone features such as conference calling, call transfer and hold using their mobile phones.

Martin St Quinton, CEO, Azzurri Communications comments: "With this new technology from Avaya and Nokia, employees can carry out essential tasks while stuck in traffic jams or when delayed unexpectedly. Their email enabled phones can remind them that they should be hosting a conference call for example, and even if they are miles away from the office, the call can still be conducted from a mobile phone, allowing business to go ahead as normal."

The new technology will allow users to enjoy the convenience of one business number and one voice mailbox, and provide the ability to route mobile calls to enterprise IP networks, for better cost control and streamlined management.

"Mobility solutions including home working and mobile connectivity are great tools enabling organisations with traditional office based cultures to extend their geographical scope when recruiting. The same technology gives organisations scope to accommodate flexible working practices in line with recent legislation, "continues St Quinton. "A mobile workforce can tangibly increase the number of productive hours in a day, making mobile technology a worthwhile investment."

Downloadable applications transform Nokia Series 60 mobile devices into virtual desktop phones by enabling mobile workers to access the features and functions of their Avaya Communication Manager office desk phone through an easy-to-use onscreen interface.

"More than 50% of employees conduct business away from the office, and voice is a primary business application for these mobile workers," comments Dr Carolyn Nguyen, director of Avaya's global mobility strategy "This Avaya and Nokia collaboration is another example of intelligent communications at work, extending the enterprise to the multi-location workplace."
