New Growth, Increased Headcount And New Products

The new premises are located at Unit 19A Rosemount Park, just off the M50 and the N3 (Navan Road). Justin Owens, managing director of Commtech, says: Over the past eighteen months we have witnessed significant growth of the company. We have increased our employee headcount, opened new offices in Belfast and Scotland and increased our reseller base.

Revenues have increased by 40percent year on year and by the end of 2006 we expect to have topped the 10 million mark.

In addition, we have taken on a range of new products and services which require greater training facilities and office premises for a larger team. In our new premises, we have dedicated training and seminar facilities which we are already using on a regular basis. We decided to make this investment and take the time to design, decorate and re-furbish these new premises to meet the needs of a growing company and to make this a pleasurable environment to work in

Commtech was selected as the exclusive distributor in Ireland for various IT Security, Networking, VoIP and virtualisation product vendors last year. New additions to the product portfolio were Websense, Blue Coat, Array Networks and VMware to mention a few key brands from Commtechs product portfolio in Ireland.

In fact, not only did we take on the VMware distributorship for Ireland last year, we also managed to outperform all European VMware distributors for quarter four which is no mean feat especially as it was our first quarter distributing the product, adds Owens.

Commtech is the Authorised Training Centre for SonicWALL and VMware products in Ireland, and also has sales & technical training courses on offer for Blue Coat, AltiGen VoIP and other products.

In addition to training, Commtech also offers value added services to its customers and partners, ranging from security testing, health checks and consultancy to installation services and customer support.
