05 September 2006 - RSA Security, the expert in protecting online identities and digital assets, has today announced its intention to launch a new program for distribution partners across most European countries by the end of 2006. This initiative is designed to offer greater revenue opportunities and increased margin for distributors investing in bringing RSA Security's solutions to market and will form the latest element of the RSA SecurWorld Partner Program, which was launched in April 2005.
This will be the first time RSA Security has conducted a formal review of its European distribution strategy and introduced a component of the RSA SecurWorld Partner Program constructed to maximise the margin offerings for distribution partners. The new initiative is being developed to enable distributors to develop new channels to market and deliver the latest solutions to existing and new customers, ultimately providing them with the optimum opportunity of growing their business alongside RSA Security.
Richard Turner, VP of international sales and operations at RSA Security, said: "As a company operating in an ever-evolving market, we are constantly reviewing our channel strategy to ensure that RSA Security and its partners are best placed to take advantage of the market opportunity. This is the first time we have conducted a
comprehensive review of our distribution strategy and we are committed to investing significant resources and raising margins in this area. We continue to enjoy high levels of demand for our authentication solutions in the enterprise market and also want to expand into the SMB space as well as newer markets such as enterprise single sign-on. These are all lucrative areas for us and our partners and we are formalising our distribution strategy to enable and incentivise distribution partners to capitalise on a dynamic and profitable market."
RSA Security is keen to work with distributors who have experience in its target markets and strong relationships with a range of partners who can deliver to different end user communities. As a first step, RSA
Security is contacting distributors it feels will best complement its offerings and which are most likely to benefit from working alongside the company. This will include distributors with an existing relationship with RSA Security, as well as those who have not partnered with the company before.
The new distributor program will be implemented in twelve countries across Europe - Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
