LONDON - UGS, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, have announced as part of its strategy to continue to strengthen its market share in the mid-market space, that Philip O’Hara and Neil Dunsmuir have joined the company as channel sales manager and marketing director for the UK, respectively.
O’Hara hails from SolidWorks, where he was responsible for managing the analysis portfolio and relationships with more than 30 channel partners throughout Europe. He has also previously worked for Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), winning the prestigious Top Gun internal award for technical sales.
“UGS is a forward-thinking company when it comes to developing products to aid innovation in manufacturing,” said O’Hara. “The UK channel business has developed considerably over the past year and I look forward to building on that strong foundation. The UGS channel is uniquely positioned to dominate, as the only channel in the mid-market that can provide digital product development, digital lifecycle management and digital manufacturing solutions to mid-market manufacturers.”
UK marketing director Neil Dunsmuir joins UGS from Autodesk. At Autodesk, Dunsmuir was responsible for managing the Northern Europe marketing strategy for manufacturing.
“Joining UGS gives me an opportunity to market with a company that maintains a wide and sophisticated solution set and customer base,” said Dunsmuir. “Products like UGS’ Velocity Series open up real opportunities for businesses, allowing them to develop products faster and save money in the process. Companies must innovate or face failure and UGS can help streamline the process in an effective way.”
“Philip and Neil bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from their respective positions,” said Guy Langley, UK managing director, UGS. “We look forward to both of them taking UGS to the next level by increasing channel and market awareness within this market.”
